No matter where we are in our walk with the Lord....whether we're still a "baby", "teenage", or "mature" CHRISTian....we're all going to stumble and fall at times. For myself, I have to ask for forgiveness every.single.day!!! Often, we don't see certain things in our lives as sin, but when we get that "uh-oh" feeling inside about something we've said, or done (sin of commission), or something we've failed to do that He asked of us (sin of omission)....well, it's time to simply "repent"!!!
Psalm 66:16-20
Come and listen all you who fear God, and I will tell you what He did for me.
For I cried out to Him for help, praising Him as I spoke.
If I had not confessed the sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened.
But God did listen!
He paid attention to my prayer.
Praise God who did not ignore my prayer,
or withdraw His unfailing love from me.
I find it's a whole lot easier to go ahead and confess to the Lord what I've done wrong. It's not like He doesn't already know, but a matter of getting over my pride and humbling myself before Him!

Yep! I pretty much have to repent on a daily basis for soooomething!
