Calm and Still

This was the Journey devotional for Saturday and Sunday.
Since last Friday night, Pappy and I had several different situations involving others where we tried to bring some calm and still....and, peace into their lives because they were hurting....each in totally different situations!

We're in no way counselors....at least not by profession. But, we do have the Lord and we have His Word....His Truth to stand on and back up any advice we might give!!  In talking to one of the individuals, a verse of scripture suddenly popped into my mind that I know could have only been the Holy Spirit!

Often, when others see things that we've gone thru and how we've handled the difficulty and given God all the glory....that brings them to us with their troubles.  And, when I use the word "us"....I'm not just talking about Pappy and me....that means you, too.

Galatians 6:2
Share each other’s burdens,
and in this way obey the law of Christ.

In HIS Most Precious Lve....and with mine, too!!!

Blessings,
Deb

  2. This I find to be very true actually even recently experienced. I found that each and every counseling organization out there are not always what they pretrade themselves to be. We as a family have decided that God's word is the key and is the most successful source for counseling in every situation and as a family we will be successful through Jesus.. I am so glad that Jack and yourself made yourselves available to be a blessing to someone and listening to God's calling. You know every time we make ourselves available to help another doing a work for Jesus we received award from Jesus. I think be a blessing to others is the best reward anyone can receive just seeing those smiling faces. Doing the work of Jesus is so rewarding.
