Thoughtful Thursday

Yesterday morning I was in the bathroom....praying!
I asked God to make my heart tender.
Well, to be perfectly honest I first asked Him to do that to another person,
but then realized that I need it, too.
And, as I prayed I thought about the meat tenderizer you can buy to tenderize tough meat.
See how my mind wanders?
But, God's love and mercy and grace can be that "meat" tenderizer for our hearts!!!

These thoughts were before I read my Journey devotional and this was the prayer at the end....

"Father, give me a tender heart toward hurting people.
Show me what You want me to do to help."

I had to laugh out loud.
I hope God understood....but isn't He just awesome?!?!?

So many times I hesitate to share these kinds of things with y'all.
But, later in the day I saw this sign and realized that it was exactly the prompting that I needed to not care what others think of me, or say about me.....
for my concern to be what HE thinks!!!

Psalm 71:17-18
O God, you have taught me from my earliest childhood,
and I constantly tell others about the wonderful things you do.
Now that I am old and gray,
do not abandon me, O God.
Let me proclaim your power to this new generation,
your mighty miracles to all who come after me.

In HIS Most Precious Lve....and with mine, too!!!

Blessings,
Deb
