A gift for you.....

Every once in a while I like to have a little give-a-way.
I picked up this book last weekend with just that idea in mind!
Don'tcha just love the "Eat Your Peas" books?
I bought one for my best friend and went thru and wrote things on a lot of the pages just for her!!!

This one is about FAITH!!
And, there's a little sign to go along with the book that has a verse of scripture that always reminds me of my friend, Ms. Norma!!!

So.....how do you win?
All you've gotta do is follow me here at Breathing In Jesus.
You can do that at the bottom of the page.
Then, leave a comment and let me know.....
what is your favorite word.....
or words!!!
And, why is that a favorite.....
how has that word played a role in your life?
Does it go along with a favorite verse of scripture
I'll go first!!!
My favorite word is.....

 Hope!!!

And, I always think of Jeremiah 29:11-13 when I hear the word HOPE!!!

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord.
“They are plans for good and not for disaster,
to give you a future and a hope.
In those days when you pray,
I will listen.
If you look for me wholeheartedly,
you will find me.

Breathing in Jesus,

Deb

p.s....
I'll announce the winner next Monday, November 4th!

  1. Hope really speaks to me. With Jesus, we have hope that a future filled with promise is available to all. To me, it's almost synonymous with the word faith. Where one exists, so too does the other.

  2. Good morning, Deb. I like the way you do your give aways! JOY is the word that comes to me over and over again. I think that is probably why my blog title is JOYful in His Presence. Psalm 16:11 says "in thy presence is fullness of JOY"...The world will not give us JOY because material things can not satisfy us like Jesus can and does.

  3. My current favorite word is "Grace"....John 1:16 says, "Indeed, we have all received grace after grace from His fullness..."

  4. My word is also Hope. This word stands in white letters on my windowsill. So, if I pass with my bike my home and I see those letters: hope blooms in my heart :-) He is our hope. Your text has a great meaning for me too. So, I live too far for a giveaway ... but I wanted to say this: Never lose HOPE ... because He lives

  10. I guess you already know but FAITH is one of my favorite words. Keeping the faith because I know HE is the one that knows my future. -- My scripture of faith scripture----ISAIAH 40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength: they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary, and they shall walk, and not faint.

  12. I favorite word is Mercy.

Mercy walked in and pleaded my case
Called to the stand God's saving grace
The blood was presented that covered my sin
    Forgiven when mercy walked in...
