Wednesday's Word - Joy.....

Psalm 34:4-6
I prayed to the Lord, and he answered me.
    He freed me from all my fears.
 Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy;
    no shadow of shame will darken their faces.
  In my desperation I prayed, and the Lord listened;
    he saved me from all my troubles.

Breathing in Jesus,

Deb

  2. Awhhhh! I liked this post a lot! Maybe it's because of my middle name that my mother gave me from the first verse you quoted. Also, maybe because of the book I wrote - Joy in the Mourning! Anyway, may be both have the JOY of the LORD as our strength today!

  4. Psalm 30:5 is one of my favorite go to verses when I'm struggling through something. It gives me such HOPE that things will be better. James 1:2-3 goes with it perfectly! Thanks so much, Deb, for sharing these today.

  5. What Psalm 30:5 doesn't say is...there may be a LOT of nights of weeping before joy comes in the morning.
