Wednesday's Word - Enemies.....

I don't like to think that I have any enemies, do you?
I WANT to think that EVERYBODY just simply adores me and couldn't possibly have anything against me.....
let alone treat me badly!
(Do you think I have a bit of a pride problem?)

I got that word "enemies" on my mind one morning as I was spending some time with the Lord, but I didn't focus on somebody who might not like me.  My mind trailed off to the things of this world that I allow to interfere with my walk with God.  You know stuff like playing one particular crazy, time-consuming game on my cell phone; spending too much time on Pinterest and Instagram; worrying about things that "might" happen; overeating (yes, that's called gluttony and it's in the Bible); just ANYTHING that I put before God.

So how do we avoid allowing those "enemies" consume us and draw us into things of this world?

We put on our armor.

And, that includes our helmet of salvation!

(our daughter is very creative and uses "props" to teach the Bible to our grand-kiddos)

Ephesians 6:10-11
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.
Put on the full armor of God,
so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.

How about y'all?
Are you all suited up and ready to face the world today?

Breathing in Grace,

P.S.....if nothing else, I HOPEfully gave y'all something to smile or laugh about today!!!!

One thing is for sure...Satan is our enemy and all the more reason we best have on our armor daily. Thanks for sharing my friend! (Don't forget....I'll be out of pocket next week) Off to the beach with the family! Hugs and blessings, Cindy

  5. Hi Deb! You are definitely a soldier in the army of the Lord! That helmet is just wonderful. And like you, I want everyone to think I'm pretty special too. Ugh... So much better to let God decide how special I am, and not other people. After all, He thinks I'm pretty great! And so are you my friend. Helmet and all!!
    Blessings,
    Ceil
