[ A "New" Leaf ]

I picked up this leaf in the road on my morning walk.....

.....and it reminded me of me.

The leaf has lost a lot of it's vitality;
no longer fresh and vibrant.
It's a little ragged and torn and wrinkled,
but still very much a leaf.  It's no longer providing shade, but has fallen from its perch high in some oak tree to land right in the road in front of me to provide me with a life lesson.

I'm not as swift on my feet as I once was and definitely no longer have a youthful look about me.  I am a little worse for the wear these days, but I can still be useful in God's kingdom.  He went on to remind me of that when I came upon my friend walking and I could tell something was wrong.  I was able to walk her back home and get her into her house before she fell.  What if I hadn't been right there, right at that time?

Who knows?
Nothing bad might have happened.

But.....
I also wouldn't have learned a valuable lesson.

We're valuable to God, no matter our age.
He can still use us!

Let us NEVER forget that.

HOPE you have an awesome Monday!

Breathing in Grace,
