{ CHRISTmas Crafting }

After our kiddos left CHRISTmas Day, and the house was quiet with just the two of us, I decided to do a bit of  crafting.  The day that Jess and I took the class and made the burlap wreaths, the lady who taught us had made snowflakes out of clothespins. They were so pretty and I knew I wanted to make some, too. They're a bit time-consuming and messy, depending on what kind of glue you use.  I wanted mine to stay put, so I used the E-6000 glue to hold them together.  Here's the finished product, but I haven't decided yet if I'll paint, or use wood stain.  I even saw a site where the lady used Rit Dye and those were really pretty.  Even saw some all glittery and sparkly!  All you've gotta do is take the metal piece out of the pins and glue the two pieces, flat sides together. After those dry, glue 8 of those together (use plenty of glue in the centers).  I always like to decorate in uneven numbers, which is why I made five.....
and was tired by the time I finished.
It's kinda sad when gluing makes you tired......
LOL!!!

How about you?
Done any crafting lately?

Here are some other ideas I found.....

  3. I wish I was crafty, but I feel like I have 4 thumbs when it comes to doing something like that. They are pretty tho, and like that you can use any color, etc. Enjoy this new week my friend. We are heading down the slope to a brand new year.
