{ Wednesday's Word - Purge }

 Purge:
to get rid of

I quit making New Year's Resolutions many years ago.  I used to write them down and check later on in the year and see how well I was doing.  I could have probably checked the first week (or, even the first day) and realize I had already broken most of them.....
LOL!

There are a few things I do want to accomplish in 2016, so I'm going to make this a "to do" list that I HOPEfully can mark some things off of as the year progresses.

Purge
Paint
Clean
Purge
Read More
TRY my best to keep up with Daily Bible Reading the Bible Through
Purge
Lose another 10 pounds
Eat healthier
Purge

Do you get the idea I'm needing to PURGE?
It's true.
I need to purge myself of bad habits, attitudes, extra pounds, and way too much JUNK!

What about you?
Do you make New Year's Resolutions, or do you have a "2016 To-Do List"?
I'd love for you to share yours!

Happy Wednesday, Everybody!

HOPE you're having an awesome week after CHRISTmas!

  2. Deb, I'm with you regarding New Year's resolutions. I've tried the One Word for the year too and that doesn't always stick. What you did here is just what I've had in my mind - a list of things I want to accomplish this next year. Even your word "purge" is appropriate for me. Thanks for sharing your list. I'll be doing the same as well today. Have a blessed day.

  3. I've got to get busy purging too Deb. Have been asking the Lord to help me simplify more in this new year that is quickly coming upon us. Something I want to share that when all our girls was home and little that we used to do. On New New Years Eve we would each write one thing on a piece of paper that we wanted to accomplish for the Lord for the next New Year and it would go in a sealed envelope and only be brought back out the next New Year's Eve. It was amazing to see how and if we did accomplish what we wanted to for the Lord that year. Of course girls are grown, married and children of their own and we are usually not all together on New Years Eve. But maybe Marty and I need to begin a new tradition this year...Anyway, wanted to share with you. Love you Deb and wishing you and Jack a wonderful, healthy and blessed New Year my friend. Hugs and blessings, Cindy

  4. I do make a list of goals - a to do list of sorts - at the beginning of the year. I also have One Word which is a theme and focus for each year. I'll be revealing my word for 2016 on the blog this Friday. Hmmm... Maybe I should do a post with some of my goals also.
Happy Blessed New Year Mrs Deb!!
