{ Please pray }

Image result for pray without ceasing over gatlinburg

I wasn't going to post  today because my heart is absolutely broken,
but I want to ask my friends who don't live near me to pray for our county.
I've lived in Sevier County my entire life,
attended Sevier County Schools and churches,
got married and honeymooned in Gatlinburg.
We spent many happy times when I was young vacationing and picnicking in Gatlinburg and surrounding areas.
Roaring Fork Nature Trail is one of my favorite places to visit in Gatlinburg along with Mynatt Park.

Our county is devastated because of wildfires that destroyed many parts of Gatlinburg and our beloved Great Smoky Mountains, even reaching down into Pigeon Forge.
People lost their homes.
Family members are separated and can't find one another.
Many animals and pets were destroyed.
More rains are predicted for this afternoon and evening and they are much needed, still.
High winds and our severe drought caused conditions to be perfect (that sounds so crazy to even type the word "perfect") for the first to spread rampantly.

Please, please pray.

  5. I'm heartbroken too. I may reside in Florida but my heart is up there. Praying for the families who have lost homes, possessions and some who have lost loved ones.

  6. It has been absolutely heartbreaking to see the images and hear the stories coming from the area. Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge is one of our favorite places to visit. In fact, we were talking about trying to make a day trip during Christmas break. Many prayers for everyone affected, especially those who have lost family or have loved ones still missing.
