{ Monday, Monday }

Last week was a whirlwind of activity and this week is going to be full, too.  Whoever said that retirement was when you can slow down was terribly wrong.  It seems I have more on my plate now than ever and know that if I were still working a full-time job I couldn't get it all done.....
not that I do now!

Anyway....
just wanted to share a few pics of things that caught my eye, made me laugh, or remind me of one of the most important things in my life.....
family!

Last Monday was my Momma's birthday and we celebrated with a girl's day out.
Three generations.....
me, our girl, and my Mom.
(and if you follow me on Facebook, you'll remember that she DOES NOT color her hair.
I DID NOT inherit that gene from her, obviously!)

This is something I need to print off and hang on my fridge!!!

I'll take four of these shirts, please!!!

Oh, my, but this is so me!
I've put back on several pounds from the weight I lost a couple of years ago.
Stress eating and the fact that every tooth in my head is a sweet tooth is getting me into trouble.
It's Monday again....
time to start afresh.....
so glad for God's mercies on me!!

Oh, yes it does.
Even on the coldest of  days, give me some SONshine and I'm a happy girl!

Speaking of happy girl....
that pretty girl on the right is one of my greatest blessings!  This was taken at our Ladies Night Out yesterday at church.

And, I've spent way too much time watching April trying to birth her baby.  I finally watched a giraffe live birth on YouTube so I could get on with my life....
😊

HOPE your Monday is Marvelous!

  3. Your mom is beautiful, Deb. And to think at the age of 90 she has never colored her hair is amazing! I took after my dad in that respect. My mom turned premature gray...not my dad. I do have a bit of gray but it is sprinkled throughout to the point that it looks as if it has been highlighted. I'm loving it...hopefully it will last for another three years when I turn 70.

I loved the three generation picture...all three of you ladies are beautiful and you all have that same sweet smile.

    Love the tee shirt!

  4. WOW- to be more grey than one's momma has to be interesting!

My mom died at 59 and had almost no grey - so I am glad that I inherited that from her - my dad passed at 63 and was salt pepper - again, not very grey. I have it at my temples and in spots here and there...my youngest is a hairdresser so I'm set to rid myself of it! : - )

Unfortunately my eldest daughter is more grey than I - she's NOT happy about it. Even her eyebrows have grey. Poor dear. I told her to not complain about grey - at least she has thick lovely long hair and a sister who colors it on a house call......could be much worse, right!?

    Your daughter is adorable.

I love three generations together like that, so neat.

  7. What a lovely photo of three generations. : )
My hair has been white for years, though I dyed it for many years. I kind of like my gray hair now.
It it is never ending battle keeping those extra pounds off!!!
