{ The Power of the Cross }

After I shared this picture last Friday, I thought it might be interesting to show y'all some of the other crosses around our house.

This is the cross that made that shadow.....

These are in a collection that hang on a wall in our living room.

Jess painted this one for me.....

My Daddy and Momma in a frame with a cross.....

Doesn't everybody have a couple of barbed wire wreaths hanging around?

This little plaque was given to me by my friend, Ms. Ann, almost 30 years ago.

It Is Finished!

I planned this post yesterday, but didn't get it completed last night so I'm just now finishing it up.  I just happened to come across this in my Bible earlier this morning, so I feel like it's my confirmation that this post is what God wants me to share.  Many years ago in a Sunday school class I taught, each student was given a piece of paper and I asked them to tear it into a symbol of what Jesus meant to them.  This was mine.....
a heart and a cross.

All of the crosses we display in our home are just a symbol of what Jesus did for us when He willingly died such a horrific, cruel death.  When I look at them, it brings peace to my heart because I know He did it out of pure love.

HOPE everybody has a Marvelous Monday.

Make it a good one, Folks!

  2. I loved all your crosses, they are a constant reminder of His love for us! I have a collection too, most of them are hanging in my entry by the front door. One of the first things people see when they enter our home.

  3. How interesting! (Suddenly a WHOLE lot of songs re. the cross are going through my mind - faster than I can sing them all!)

  7. It is amazing, isn't it? The cross is a symbol of horror, torture...but it has become a symbol of hope.
