{ Thursday Trivia }

I kinda thought it might be time to clean some of the pictures from my phone since I had over 300 screenshots?  In my defense, many of them are of our grand-kiddos that came up in my TimeHop of when they were much younger. Do you do the same thing, though? Screenshot things that just speak to your heart, maybe because of something you're going through at the time?

This first one is simply because I've  given this advice to others before.....
"NEVER let anybody have 'that' much power over you"!
(unless it's Jesus)

I love John Piper's quotes and daily devotions.
You can find them at Desiring God.
I do realize that I'm the one doing the failing at times.
😞

As much as I love my grand babies,
He loves me more?
How can that even be?

You know what this shouts to me, Y'all?
HOPE!
Even when going through a struggle,
I know the ONE Who's gonna get me through and restore my joy and my HOPE!

Did I ever tell y'all that when our daughter got married, she asked me to be her matron of honor? That's usually unheard of, right?  When I asked her if she didn't want one of her friends to stand up beside her, she told me I was her best friend.
Be still my heart!
I'm sharing this pic because she's the one who put this smile on my face.

Love that girl of mine (ours)!

HOPE everybody has a terrific Thursday!!!

  9. I just LOVE that your daughter asked you to be her matron of honor and that picture of you is priceless!! Those sayings reminded me of something from years ago. Friends of ours were fighting cancer. Judy was not going to beat the disease and when she was in the hospital during her last days, her husband kept telling her that the only one who loved her more than him was Jesus. I was so touched by that and the peace it brought to my friend. Great post!!
