{ Friday Foto Friends #150 }

HOPE everybody has had a great week.
Are you happy it's Friday?
Yeah, me, too!
You wouldn't think I'd still feel the same way about Friday's since retirement,
but I guess old habits are hard to break.
Kinda like trying to give up chocolate!
Who am I kidding?
Why would anybody even want to give up chocolate, right?
(I know some of you don't like it.....
it would be best if I didn't)

I've been a bit under the weather this week so I'm just gonna share a few things from around the house.

My current fall wreath on the front door.....

This delicate bud vase that was gifted to me by one of my best friends. It belonged to her paternal grandmother. I keep it sitting in the kitchen window and like to keep fresh cut flowers from the yard in it.

This beauty was actually at Mom's house on the back of her well house.
It was HUGE!
Anybody know what kind of spider it is and if it's poisonous?

And, finally my daisy mums.
Aren't they gorgeous?
I got them on a sale rack at Lowe's last year.
He loves me, he loves me not!

It's supposed to be another hot one for us here in East Tennessee!
Have fall temps arrived in your neck of the woods?
I'm ready, Y'all!

HOPE everybody has a great weekend.

  1. All spiders are poisonous. Some are deadly but all can give you a reaction that isn't pleasant at all. They bite to inject venom into their prey.
That is such a pretty vase! I hope your weather doesn't get too hot.

  2. Hi Debbie, I love your photos today. I'm sorry you are feeling under the weather. I 'm not feeling too great either so I didn't upload any Friday photos this week. I do have some lovely photos in my Tuesday post if anyone wants to check them out. Blessings to you and renewed health. https://snapthatpenny.blogspot.com/2018/10/tuesday-news.html

  4. I will have to do some looking into my insect guides to see if I can find your spider. He's very interesting. Love the bud vase...that is exquisite!! Glad you keep it "occupied" with fresh flowers. I have a favorite one that was my mother's on my windowsill, and I like to do the same thing. Love your wreath with the little bird nest...and those daisies tell me that someone loves you a lot!! Thank you for continuing to do this even when you haven't felt well. Praying you will feel better this week. Our temps are still hot, but actually I have noticed a slight change for the better. Of course, in Florida that means it might be just in the high 80's as opposed to the 90's. i'll take whatever we can get! Have a blessed weekend.

  7. I believe you have a common writing spider. As long as you leave her alone, she'll leave you alone but if she's bothered her bite will feel like a bee sting and if you're sensitive you will have a reaction. To know for sure, check her web out. Writing spiders have a beautiful web, it's a zig zag pattern with x's and z's.
