{ I sometimes get SAD }

 Do you have someone in your life who knows you better than anyone? I certainly do and it's my daughter. She can detect my mood immediately in my voice over the phone! So many people have SAD, or Seasonal Affective Disorder (just add that to the ever growing list of my other disorders ☺). For me, it's not just something that happens in the wintertime, but on any gray day... and several cloudy and overcast days in a row = 😜 😔

So...

lookie at what my sweet Girl got me for Christmas....

I've used it a couple of times when we had all day cloudiness and I really do think it helped. My friend has one and she calls it her happy light!

😊

Do any of you have this issue, too? I'd welcome any and all suggestions for what helps you get through the gray days!
(for me it's try to keep busy, turn on lights and lamps, get outside, weather permitting, listen to music and sing along)

Happy first Monday of 2021!

    1. Cindy, they're probably not needed as much in sunny Florida! Here in East Tennessee it can be pretty gray sometimes and SADly my mood starts to match the weather.

  3. I've never heard of those lamps! Wow! Wish I'd known about them when we lived in New England. I used to get SAD. Those long, dark, freezing winters really got to this Florida gal! I was okay through the holidays, but once they were over and it was just that long winter with nothing exciting going on I had a difficult time. Living in Florida helps a lot...and taking vitamin D is important too! I hope you have sunny days and beauty surrounding you. Please post a picture with that light turned on....I'd like to see how it works!
