Woe is me....

"Good morning, Eeyore," said Pooh.
"Good morning, Pooh Bear," said Eeyore gloomily.  "If it is a good morning, which I doubt," said he.
"Why, what's the matter?"
"Nothing, Pooh Bear, nothing. We can't all, and some of us don't. That's all there is to it."
"Can't all what?" said Pooh, rubbing his nose.
"Gaiety. Song-and-dance. Here we go round the mulberry bush."

Doesn't that conversation between Pooh Bear and Eeyore just make you smile?

Poor, pitiful Eeyore!
:(
But...wait...doesn't his gloom and doom seem a bit familiar?

Why.....yes.....Eeyore reminds me of somebody I know very well.....ME!!!!
(Not all the time....but I do have my moments)

I sometimes think that I come from a long line of Eeyores....and maybe it's inherited....you know, the dark cloud hangs on generation after generation!!!
We often see the glass as half empty instead of half full!!!

Do you ever have days where you feel a bit like Eeyore, too?
Or....do you know of somebody who reminds you of the old gray, sad donkey?  They seem to always look on the negative side of a situation, instead of the positive....they go around with their head hung low....or even worse, they're all up in somebody else's face spouting and fuming and saying things that are totally uncalled for.
(another favorite quote of mine is....
...."hurting people hurt others")

I started this post several weeks ago....and just couldn't seem to get it all together....couldn't say what I really wanted to say....couldn't put my finger on just the right way to get my thoughts across.

Until something happened to a friend of mine just recently....and to me a few weeks ago....and it just brought this entire train of thought full circle.

If our main focus is on ourselves....then, we're gonna be totally miserable human beings.

Philippians 2:1-3 (NLT)
Is there any encouragement from belonging to Christ?
Any comfort from his love?
Any fellowship together in the Spirit?
Are your hearts tender and compassionate?
Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one mind and purpose.  Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves.

Hey....isn't that what it's all about anyway....this thing called life?
If anything has life to it.....then, it's ALIVE!!!
I don't want to live my life thinking of me, me, me....and what the world might owe me....or what I think I might deserve!!!

I want to LIVE!!!

I want to experience true JOY......
  Jesus
   Others
You
(meaning "me"....and putting myself last)

And guess what?
It only took me 55 years to figure this out!!!
Just think how deliriously happy I'll be if I live to be a hundred!!!!

Blessings to you!!!

In His Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!

    Heavenly sunshine, heavenly sunshine,
    Hallelujah! Jesus is mine!

This chorus, which we sang in Sunday School makes me happy on sunny days...His Light floods my soul!
