Thankful Thursday

Today, I want to take the time to tell you a few things that I'm thankful for.....

I'm most thankful for my salvation.  It's so humbling to think that if I had been the only sinner that Jesus would have bled and died and suffered the way He did....just for me.  I certainly don't deserve it.....but I'm oh so glad that He loves me that much!!!

I am very grateful that I have a Christian husband.  I've shared that before we married, we never prayed that we were "right" for each other....but I do feel that God....in His amazing wisdom....chose us for each other.

We were blessed with an only child, our daughter, Jess.  We can honestly say that she never gave us any trouble growing up.  I'll never forget the time that she was at a friend's house and she came home because some of her friends were looking up porn on the computer....and she felt convicted and just left and came home!!!
Ain't God good?
Oh, yes He is!!!

I'm thankful for my son-in-law....known as "The Dad" on my blog.  He is such a good provider for his family....and the boys love him to pieces!!!
(of course their Momma is wonderful, too!!!)

Without our daughter and "The Dad".....we would have never known the joy of having been blessed with our GRAND-sons.
My heart just melts when I think about them!!!

I'm very grateful for my Mom.  Sometimes it takes getting older ourselves to realize the sacrifices that our parents make for us.  I love her dearly!!!

I'm blessed to be 55 years old....and still have my Mamaw.  She will be 99 years old in September.  I visited her earlier in the week...and she knew me!!!
  Hallelujah!!!
She called me by name....and asked about Pappy and the boys!!!

I'm also very thankful for my church family.  We've been at Beech Springs Baptist Church for almost 7 years....and we've been blessed with so many good friends!!!

I'm so very grateful for my faithful followers!!!
Your sweet comments keep me keeping on.  So many of you have let me know how much you enjoy my Play List.....and to think that some people say that having music on your blog is a distraction!!!
To that I say...."bah humbug"!!!

So....speaking of music....which is probably my very favorite way to worship our Lord....I heard this song earlier in the week, and really took the time to listen to the words.
Hope you enjoy it as much as I do!!!
The original song is "Come As You Are"....by Pocket Full of Rocks!!!

(please remember to turn off the Play List before listening)

Thursday Blessings to each of 'ya!!!

In His Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!

  2. GOD is great!

I do enjoy the music on your blog. There's another blog where I enjoy the music too, but usually I hit the volume button on other blogs and turn it off!

Have a blessed day! I am heading to church to hang wallpaper border in the Ladies bathroom and then help with the lunch fundraiser.

  4. Deb, I'm so glad you commented on my blog and that my words have been encouraging. It wasn't always easy for me to talk about my struggles either, but in the past few years God has really convicted me in that area...not that it is easy still, but He has been so faithful and I continue to try and walk in obedience to where He is leading. Your blog looks great!! Did you just add the color on the sides today? I love it! And, your daughter...she is a sweetheart! :)
