Thankful Thursday

Today I want to share how thankful I am for the Holy Spirit....and His prompting and pleading...and nudging!!!

I've been having a very difficult time for the past several months.  Never could put my finger right on the problem, but finally decided I didn't need to.  Sometimes, life in general just gets us down, don't you think?
I guess when you write a blog, it's difficult not to share your thoughts and feelings....and your bad days....with the entire blog world!!!

It's kinda like everything else that happens in my life....I have one of those epic moments where everything just seems clearer and in sharper focus....and I realize that maybe the steps that I was taking to "fix" myself....weren't at all what God wanted for me!!!
So....I start praying more specific....and listening for that "still small voice"....or, like my friend says....let Him hit me up the side of the head with a 2 x 4 (not really, but you know what we mean)!!!

Anyway....today...that's what I'm grateful for.....the precious Holy Spirit....and that He speaks to me....and that He even lives in me....of all people!!!!
Praise His Name!!!

Ezekiel 36:26-27 (NLT) And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart. And I will put my Spirit in you so that you will follow my decrees and be careful to obey my regulations.

Thursday Blessings to each of 'ya!!!

In His Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!

  1. I am thinking that I will use your scripture reference during the Bible Drill that I will be teaching JW this summer. When I have the children memorize the books of the Bible in groups, I have been praying for a verse or two from each group of books for the children to memorize...this "goes with" the other verses that I have been lead to. Once again your blog has answered my prayers. Love you bunches...Mis

  2. Hi Deb! I have had a copy of Ezekiel 36:26-27 pasted in the front of my Bible for years. I replace the words you and your with specific names of people I pray for particularly concerning salvation.

  4. Hi Deb, That is such a good post. I've been listening a lot lately too and am so grateful the Lord cares enough to speak to us and draw us close. And I'm thankful for friends like you to encourage us. I don't know if you noticed but Tim and I talked and decided that the blog should stay, but I post once a week and schedule out the topics over the week. That way I have more time for family. He really didn't want me to stop..just spend less time on blogging. God is so good!
