30 Days of Truth - Week #2

Week #2 - Something you love about yourself

That should be a simple thing to answer....right?
Just name something that you love about yourself.  Well....it's not so very easy for me.

As difficult as it was to answer last week's truth about hate....love is a bit hard, too!!!  I think it's probably because it makes me think that I'm  self-centered....or conceited.....if I say that I love something about myself!!!

But....since it's the truth of the week....here goes....

The thing I love most about me....is Jesus living in me.  Deb still rears her ugly head sometimes....way too often.....but because I have HIM in me....the Holy Spirit restrains me....and often has to correct me.....for speaking, or acting in ways that are totally unbecoming a Christian!!!

As I've shared the story with y'all before as to how this blog even came about....it was HE who prompted me to write it.  In sharing HIM....it can be thru things He prompts me to write.....pics of things HE has blessed me with.....my precious family HE has given me....and crafts that I could never be able to do without talent from HIM!!!
I truly want EVERYTHING to be for HIS glory!!!

So....to sum it up....what I love about me....is CHRIST....living in me!!!

Galatians 2:20 (NLT)
My old self has been crucified with Christ.  It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me.  So I live in this earthly  body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

In His Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!

  1. Dear Deb, I love that about you too! I'm glad Christ is living in you and through you. Thanks so much for the sweet and encouraging comments and for visiting! I've not been able to do much but throw up photos lately. Please keep August in your prayers. I have Lena again for perhaps a week. My dear son called in tears saying they were taking August to Texas Children's. Tim and I drove the 45 min. trip in 30 min. It was scary! As it turned out, August just continues to have breathing problems (though I couldn't tell it myself) and he and Ebeth felt that it was time to do something. I'm still waiting for word from them but assume they were admitted. We will be driving up this morning to see them and find out what is going on. Your prayers would be so appreciated.

    Love,
    Donna

  2. Deb, Christ in you has been encouraging me greatly! Thank you very much for being available to Him.

As for me, (with Apostle Paul) I know that "in my flesh dwelleth NO good thing"! I actually loathe myself some times - and then realize it is that "old man" part of me that I loathe! But the woman God CREATED me to be, clothed in Christ Jesus, is beautiful. Thankfully, HE sees it - even when I don't and is chiseling out and buffing off the finished product to be revealed ONE DAY. Maybe soon!

I know that sounds like "spiritual talk" but it's my ONLY hope. You know what I mean?

  4. What a beautiful post!

Giving GOD the glory in all that we do and knowing that without HIM none would be possible.

Wishing you a day filled with HIS blessings!
