30 Days of Truth - Week #8

Day 08 - Someone who treated you badly

There have been several instances in my lifetime that I've been treated badly....at least according to my standards!!!   I think that if we mistreat somebody....and we're a child of God....then, the Holy Spirit is gonna convict our hearts of whatever we've done wrong.  And....if we're TRULY SORRY....then, we're gonna apologize and ask that other person to forgive us.  Now....in some of the instances that I've been hurt....that's happened....I've been told "I'm sorry"....and I've accepted their apology.  (and, please know, that I've had to ask for forgiveness from others myself)   In the times that no apology was offered to me....I've tried my best to take the "high road"....and not hold a grudge.  But....not holding a grudge....and forgiving others of mistreating us....does not mean that we continue to allow them to walk all over us....or use us!!!  Sometimes....even though it can be difficult....we just have to back off....step aside....or walk away!!!

Romans 12:18-19 (NLT)
Do all that you can to live in peace with everyone.
Dear friends, never take revenge.
Leave that to the righteous anger of God.
For the Scriptures say,
   “I will take revenge;
      I will pay them back,”
      says the Lord.

Ephesians 4:31-32 (NLT)
Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior.
Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.

In His Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!

  1. You know what amazes me those people who have hurt you and acted like nothing was every said harshly to you. Call you up after not seeing or hearing from you for five months and just carry on a converstation like we are best of friends. God help me to have a more forgiving heart just like you do.

  2. Oh girl, are you reading my mind????

Forgiving is the right thing to do. Forgetting means having to learn the lesson all over again.

A recent "incident" eats at me everyday. I know that how I was treated was the devil grabbing ahold of these two people. The devil reared his ugly head and the horns were these two women.
    Neither have asked for forgiveness.

GOD knows that what we were doing for our Youth at church was the right thing. That's why the devil reared his ugly head. That devil is a persistent little snot! GOD is always with me and HE overpowers that little snot!

    Have a blessed day!
