An Owl-entine Shirt

If you follow me here at Wise Old Owl Designs....
you might remember my
"Work in Progress"
post from January 21st.

Well....my Owl-entine shirt is FINALLY finished!!!

Here's what I started with....
I changed my mind about the orange....just like I thought I would....and instead found some black with pink polka dots in my stash.

I printed off the letters to spell "L-O-V-E"....and used the Wonder Under to adhere them to the shirt
(which I washed first).  I also cut out 4 little owls...and used hearts from the patterned fabric for their wings and as decorations over the letters!!!
I then sewed around....every single little heart....
....took me F-O-R-E-V-E-R!!!

But....it was so worth it!!!

So....without further adieu....here it is....
I even put a little "decoration" on each sleeve!!!
Wonder what kind of St. Patty's owl I can come up with?!?!?
;-)

Blessings to you,

  1. Oh my goodness! That is so darned cute! I'm so jealous! That heart fabric is really adorable. Have you used heat-n-bond very much? I've only used it under machine embroidery, and I wondered if it held the fabric on without a lot of stitching. I see a lot of bloggers using it, but I've never asked.
