Friday Food for Thought!!!

Welcome to our second installment of
"Friday Food for Thought".

Today's question is....
"How do you handle disappointment?"

I was studying one day and came across these verses of scripture that kind of reminded me of....
....well, me....
....and how I used to handle disappointment.

Psalm 73:21-22
When my heart was grieved and my spirit embittered,
I was senseless and ignorant;
I was a brute beast before You.

I had to smile when I read "senseless and ignorant"....and "brute beast"....because I've definitely acted that way in the past when things didn't go my way!!!  These days, I try to handle my disappointment by realizing that everything worked out the way it did for a reason and that God had a much better plan than I did!!!  I might never know why....but I really don't need to know as long as I'm leaving it in HIS hands!!!

So....how about you....how do you handle disappointment?!?

HOPE you have a great weekend,
Sweet Reader!!!

In His Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!

  1. You know I was not as good at handling disappointment as I am now that I have the Lord, figure like you said that there is something better, and that He knows better then I do as to why Im not able to have/do what ever it may be...great reminder.

    Have a great weekend :)

    God Bless you

  3. How I handle disappointment has a lot to do with how I'm feeling at the time. I know I've got a long way to go, but age is doing a good job at tempering my 'brute beast'...
