Patiently Waiting!!!

I know y'all have heard it said that we should never pray for patience....'cause God will send us a trial to really try our patience.  A lot of people can't understand how I'm not worried, or upset during this time of Pappy's unemployment....well, that's totally because of my faith in God and all the things he's brought us thru in the past.  Now...that being said....it doesn't mean I don't have my "moments"....okay, more than a moment....of anxiety.  Yesterday morning, I asked HIM to speak to me thru my devotions and HIS word about this waiting we're going thru!!!  I opened my Journey devotional and here was the title that jumped off the page at me....
"At Peace with Waiting"!!!

I actually had to laugh out loud.
Please know it was a joyful laugh....'cause I knew that God had totally answered a prayer I had just prayed!!!

He is AWESOME!!!
How, oh how....do people not believe in this amazing Savior?!?!?
Of all the millions of people in the world....
....HE heard and answered the prayer of my anxious heart!!!

Here is the scripture reference that went along with the devotional....

James 5:7-8
Dear brothers and sisters,  be patient as you wait for the Lord’s return. Consider the farmers who patiently wait for the rains in the fall and in the spring. They eagerly look for the valuable harvest to ripen. You, too, must be patient. Take courage, for the coming of the Lord is near.

Do you find yourself waiting....impatiently?
If so....take it from me....it doesn't help one bit!!!
God is in control....and He certainly knows best!!!
And....what we deem as an eternity....is just a blink of an eye to HIM!!

HOPE you have a great Wednesday, Sweet Reader!!!

In HIS Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!

  3. Wonderful post. Yes...patience! WOW! My sweet man will tell our 4 yr. old granddaughter when she is fishing that she must have patience (since a 4 year old can't let the pole be still) Well recently after dinner one Sunday we all are outside and my Soninlaw (her dad) is fishing....No fish...finally my little Mallory looks at her dad and says, "Daddy, Papa said you got to have patience! Aren't we like that at times Deb...struggling to have patience? Love this post and what a sweet reminder to us! Hugs and blessings, Cindy

  5. Peace during the wait...what a blessing. When remember and recount what God has done for us, we can't help to be strengthened as we wait on him to act.

  7. The older I get the more I am able to wait...it has not always been this way. I guess the slower pace of life here in Belize helps!

  8. It amazes me, how He can pick out our individual prayers and voices among the millions. But He does. He DOES! What a God-incidence. Glad you linked up with www.GettingDownWithJesus.com .

  9. Hi Deb,

Yes I have found if I prayer for patience, it is tested, I am actually praying that way at the moment and yes I think it is being tested.

I have had the experience of praying and opening up the bible or a book or a post on here and knowing God is addressing me directly through it, an awesome experience.

    God Bless Nita.
