Remember I told y'all that one of my Mom's long-time sayings is......
"nothing ever stays the same"?
Well, here's proof in pictures!!!
This is how the house I grew up in looked like all during my childhood,
"nothing ever stays the same"?
Well, here's proof in pictures!!!
This is how the house I grew up in looked like all during my childhood,
probably until I was in my teens when Dad and Mom remodeled.
See all those pine trees?
This is what it looked like when I got there last Thursday morning.....
And, here's the scene when I left for lunch.....
Kinda made me sad.....
but, my Mom's quite happy,
except for the mess.
She's certainly right.....
"nothing ever stays the same"!!!
Ecclesiastes 3:1
For everything there is a season,
a time for every activity under heaven.
a time for every activity under heaven.

Hi Deb! That last photo was shocking! Not expecting those trees to be on the ground. Were they really old and unstable? If so, then I can see why she'd want to do that. You sure don't want to wake up with a tree in the living room, that's for sure.
ReplyDeleteMy childhood home was completely re-landscaped. We used to have a little hill in the front yard, we'd roll down them all the time. Well, they're gone, along with a long sidewalk up to the front door. Yep, nothing stays the same!
Have a great weekend my friend :)

Sometimes change is good and sometimes change is not so good. But life goes on....Enjoyed the pictures of your childhood home!
ReplyDeleteI can relate to that saying. When I go back to the home I grew up in, I feel so sad because the home and the neighborhood is nothing like it was when I was growing up there. Thank goodness we still have our memories, though... :)
