{ Friday Foto Friends #52 - One Year Linky Anniversary }

Well, we made it!

Today we celebrate a year of having this little link-up every Friday.  I'm so happy about our ability to stick-to-it so we would keep this up for an entire year.  I'm hoping this will continue to grow and we'll meet up with more and more new visitors. I actually started posting Friday Fotos more than a year ago.  I did that for several months before I added the link-up.  Out of curiosity I went back and found my very first photo that I shared on our first linky and here it is......

I never tire of the gorgeous colors of that maple tree in our back yard and the fluorescent  colors it turns to in the fall.  

This first pic for this week was taken at Panther Creek State Park.  Our kiddos camped there last weekend and we visited them for a while on Saturday.  It's an absolutely gorgeous campground on Cherokee Lake.  This is a view from the top overlook.....

The temps in our neck of the woods have been unseasonably warm.  So much so that the flowers are confused.  I took this pic of a hydrangea in bloom in our neighbor's yard as I walked around the neighborhood one morning this week.  I'm enjoying the pretty weather while I can because winter's on it's way!

I love to create, whether it be through sewing, or crocheting.

If you've ever visited my page { Crochet-Sewing-Crafts }, 

you know that I chose this verse of scripture for my "Wise Old Owl Designs".....

Whatever talent I might have, 

I truly want HIM to have all the glory.....

because without HIM I could accomplish nothing.

I made this pillow cover some time ago, but just recently got around to getting the foam rubber insert and getting it finished up.

A couple of years ago, we re-did a little stove for our grand-kiddos.  We FINALLY finished the sink and still have the hutch to go.  Maybe they won't be grown before that gets accomplished.  The sink bowl is a stainless bowl we found at Big Lots and the faucet came from a fellow we know who deals in "junk" and I made the curtain for the bottom.

Just finished up this rag quilt last Saturday in time for our niece's baby shower on SONday afternoon.  She's doing her nursery in red, white and navy and airplanes!!!

Our baby grandson is all about horses.....

so what's a Nannie to do but crochet him one?

Can you ever have enough owlies?

I didn't think so!!!

One of our grand boys is really into sharks right now, so this goes to him!

 This is my latest creation.

Our oldest grand boy has wanted me to crochet him a beard for quite some time!  

It's so hard to tell our kiddos "no"!!!

It's been a long time dream of mine to live where I can look out and see God's gorgeous handiwork in the sunrises and sunsets.  Alas, it's just a dream though (although, it is a desire of my heart).  In the meantime, it's awesome to have family and friends who send me pictures of those they're able to witness where they live.  Earlier this week, I received pics from our daughter and my friend, Dawn, both in the same evening of a beautiful sunset.  They live about 2 hours apart, yet it was the same sun that God created.....

the one He created in Genesis 1:14-17.

I Corinthians 10:13

 The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. 

And God is faithful. 

He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. 

When you are tempted, 

he will show you a way out so that you can endure.

Not a very good picture that was taken right before I began an on-line weight loss challenge a year ago.....

Recently.....

Forty-three pounds since this time last year and over sixty since my highest weight.  

To GOD be the glory because I truly give Him ALL the credit.  

This is the longest period of time that I can remember that I've been able to lose and keep the weight off......

and again, that's totally a GOD-thing!

I Corinthians 10:31

So whether you eat or drink, 

or whatever you do, 

do it all for the glory of God.

Benefits:

feeling better physically 

increased stamina 

pressure taken off my knees

getting more exercise

better self esteem

(still working on this one)

lowered BP and triglycerides 

eating healthier

drinking LOTS of water

Downfall:

losing weight ages an already old(er) woman!

I've just gotta realize that the good outweighs the bad.
