Be a help.....

A fellow blogger, Ms. Denise at Just Me Being Me posted this song a couple of days ago and as I listened to the lyrics, I could just picture our precious Lord and Savior singing these words over us as we go through our trials and tribulations!  And, isn't this how we should treat one another when we see a fellow brother or sister enduring a hard time? We're to come along side them and offer encouragement and any help we can give.
As I think back to the time that Pappy was unemployed,
God sent some awesome family members and friends to help us out.
It really taught us who we could count on.....
and the sad part was who we can't.
It also made it even clearer to us how important it is to help others when they are in need.

Philippians 4:14
Even so, you have done well to share with me in my present difficulty.

Breathing in Grace,

Edited to add:
I wrote this post last night.
I just now sat down and read my Journey devotional.....
the title of today's is.....
"Sacrificial Friendship".
Tears came to my eyes as I realized that God had already spoken to me about this very thing yesterday.  This post was written in answer to a prayer that I had been praying about a very special friend of mine who is struggling after a job loss.
God is so AWESOME to speak to us individually.....
personably.....
intimately!!!
(Isn't that right, Ms. Mary?)

  4. Hi Deb! What a gorgeous song...don't we all want a friend to sing this to us? And to know that it's only a shadow of what Jesus wants to sing to us. Really touching.
