Ain't God good?.....

I've been reading/praying/speaking the Psalms and recently wrote this down in my journal.....

Psalm 42:5,11
Psalm 43:5
Why am I discouraged?
Why is my heart so sad?
I will put my HOPE in God!
I will praise Him again -
my Savior and my God!

(Many of you probably already know this but the #5 in scripture represents GRACE.....
just a tidbit of info!)

But, what I want to share is this.
This past Friday morning, I went out to walk a tad early because I was going to be keeping our baby grandson.  I called my sweet walking buddy to see if she wanted to join me because she's an early bird.  I could tell something was wrong, but she said  she would meet me.  As she approached, I could tell she was very much downtrodden.  She apologized for her mood and started crying.  I stopped in the middle of the road and put my arm around her shoulders and told her to not apologize to me, just let me know what was wrong.  She was missing having a daughter.  You see, this precious Christian lady has already lay to rest both of her daughters to cancer.  I immediately started praying for her right there in the middle of the road and gave her a Psalm to read. And, I told her I considered her my "spiritual Mother" (more on that topic in a later post).  She called later to tell me how much the prayer and the Psalm had meant to her and that she had read another Psalm, too, that really spoke to her and how she was feeling......
and it was Psalm FORTY-TWO!!!

Ain't God good?
Oh, yes HE most certainly is!!!

Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again - my Savior and my God! - Psalm 43:5 #NLT #Bible verse | CrossRiverMedia.com

What/Who do you put your HOPE in?
Is it stuff of this world?
Things money can buy?
Or, is it what was bought with the ULTIMATE price?
The death of our SAVIOR on the old rugged cross?

Breathing in Grace,

    1. You're most welcome, Ms. Karen. I shared because of how God spoke to me with that scripture.....not because of anything I did. He wanted me to grasp what He was trying to say!😄

  4. So glad you were there for your sweet friend. God used you to show His love to this woman in her time of need. You are so blessed that God used you in that way. ((hugs))

  5. How difficult to lose both daughters to cancer. So sad. And what blessing you were there to encourage her. And of course God blessed it all.
