Another Purse.....

Pappy tells me that I'm "purse poor",
meaning that I might have a few too many!
Why is it that the fellows just don't understand how us girls feel about purses?  I like it even better when I can make one.

Several months ago I shared a pic with you of a work in progress.  Well, a few weeks ago I FINALLY got it finished up and lined!  Whew!!!  I've gotta be the world's greatest procrastinator about some things!

Any-hoo(t).....
LOL......
here she is.....

I crocheted a few extra rows to the sides of the bag and folded the extra thru the handles then attached it back down on itself, if that makes sense.  The zipper was crocheted along the sides by punching a hole into the cloth part of the zipper as I went along (this part was kinda difficult), then I sewed it to the sides of the bag and just added a ribbon for the "pull".

I love the owlie lining.
I just forgot to add "pockets" to the lining to hold things, something I always do.....
not sure where my head was that day,
except to "get 'er done".

Here she is.....
all ready for me to carry this winter!

Happy Thursday, Everybody!!!

  1. Oh how very pretty. Before we moved here, I got rid of/sold or gave away, close to 35 purses and saved about 20. Yep, men have no clue, lol. Have a lovely day, friend. Blessings

  2. That purse is adorable!! You are very talented. Strangely I'm just not a purse collecting person. It takes awhile to "bond" with one and then I use it until it wears out. I do have 4 of them and actually am not in love with any of them. Have a great day!

  3. Hi Deb! (Love the header, btw!) You are so clever! I don't know how your husband can complain about your purses, you MAKE them! Imagine the cost if you had to buy them all. I do have quite a few purses myself. Your owl pattern is really cute, and so colorful too. I know what you mean about little pockets. I like to have at least one for my Chapstick. I'm a wee bit addicted to it, and I don't like rummaging around my purse for it.
It's fun to see your creations :)

  7. Hi Mrs Deb! You know this fellow owl lover is in love with your purse! I've been crocheting lately and have made one purse and working on another. I'd like to know where you found those handles. I've had problems finding handles and I like those. Hope you are doing well!

    1. I love it when you stop by and reply!!! ;-) Now, please take into consideration that I'm VERY forgetful....but I got them either on e-bay, or at a thrift store. I can't remember. I've been blessed to find some at thrift stores, especially my favorite little "hole in the wall" in Jefferson City! I would love to see pictures of your creations!!! HOPE all is well with you and your family.

  8. Great new bag!

I am not joining those here in confessing to the number of bags I have. Let's just say... hmmm If I changed it out everyday it would take a LONG time to get thru them all :-) My sister gives me hers when she buys more and every now and again I buy one. I also make them so..... Don't ask about shows either!!! LOL
