Wednesday's Word - Tears.....

It's been a while since I asked the Lord to give me a word to "ponder" (my word for 2015).
Well, let me re-phrase that.....
He's probably spoken a word to me many times,
but in my rush to often "hurry and finish" my devotions,
I just didn't listen/hear!
One day last week, though, I felt the word "tears" come to mind, and heart, and I thought about how tears can represent one of two things......

Tears of Sorrow......

Tears of Joy.....

I'm quite an emotional person,
so yes, I'm a crier!
Happy tears....
sad tears.....
probably tears with other emotions, too!
Growing up my Mom would make fun of me for crying,
so I would try to suppress those emotions because I knew if I showed them,
there would be words, or punishment to follow.
I really did become somewhat of an emotional wreck.
But over the years,
I've come to realize that I am who I am.....
I am who God made me.....

 I'm HIS bundle of emotions!

HOPE everybody has an awesome Wednesday.

Breathing in Grace,

  2. Tears are very healing...they signal so many things and God was so good to allow their release through our tear ducts, knowing we'd need them!! Thank you for this post.

    1. My mom was the strict one....a very strong disciplinarian. She made life difficult for my Daddy and me....but she's still my mother! And God makes no mistakes! :)

  4. Deb, I'm sorry that your Mom made fun of you for crying. Your post reminds me of the precious song No More Tears by David Phelps

  5. Deb, I love this post. Matter of fact the timing is perfect. I have a friend that needs to read your words of "I'm His bundle of emotions". I have actually envisioned our Lord catching my tears...those of sorrow and those of joy. So glad you shared this today. Hugs and blessings, Cindy

    1. Oh, Ms. Cindy, you are welcome to share away. I feel like God wants us to be "transparent" and share ourselves with others. We never know who else might be have the same "issue" (a term our oldest grandson uses). ;-)

  6. Oh my, I am a crier too. All it takes is seeing someone else cry, whether I know them or not, and the tears are flowing. I can cry at commercials on TV. They flow for sadness and for happiness. A plea or a song....love this post!
