{ when God puts a period }

.....don't erase it!!!

Remember the post I did back in January about being in a Friendship Prison?
Just click and read.....
but be forewarned, it's L-O-N-G!

Well, that particular situation reared it's ugly head this week, but it was ENTIRELY my fault!  I took out my big old eraser and got rid of that period God had placed and took matters into my very INCAPABLE hands!  If you took the time to read that post (and I completely understand that you don't have all day if you didn't), I mentioned that I'm a "people pleaser".  Because I knew this lady had something quite major going on in her life, I prayed for her and also sent her a text.  Her responses back to me were very short and snippy and full of animosity.  I was hurt and even got a tad angry, but I really did bring it on myself because God said.....
back off!
And, I didn't listen!

Romans 12:18
If it is possible,
 as far as it depends on you,
live at peace with everyone.

Sometimes living at peace means praying is all we can do.

Breathing in Grace,

  2. What great advice! When God puts a period, don't erase it. I tend to try to go back and fix stuff even when I didn't mess it up and I know I should just leave it alone. Anyhoo. I'm gonna remember this wise council. Thanks!

    1. I have this tendency to think that I can fix ANYTHING and EVERYTHING, which includes other people's lives, attitudes, whatever. I do believe only God can do that, so I guess I sometimes try to "play God". :(

  3. I did go back and read your January post. I'm not sure we had connected then since I didn't leave a comment. Anyway, I am SO in agreement. When something or someone starts stealing your joy, you really need to move away from it or them and put that period in place. It takes time to get comfortable with doing that, but you really have to do it. Hugs & love!! Hang in there!

  5. Great advice Mrs Deb! For all of us. I'm just sad you had to come by it in a way which hurt your heart. A small downside to bring a sweet caring woman such as you are. ((hugs))
