{ Friday Foto Friends #4 }

Welcome to Friday Foto Friends #4.
How in the world did a month get past us already?!?!

How about some odds and ends stuff and even a recipe?

One of my CHRISTmas cactus decided to bloom a bit early.

Pappy and I got lost on a back road just trying to get a picture of the sky one evening.

I love CHRISTmas socks.....
and owlies (in case you didn't know that already).
So, I pulled out one of my favorite pair and wore them last Saturday.

'Tis the season.....;-)

I received this in an e-mail yesterday and thought it sounded so good.  Not only that, it's EASY!!!
I posted it on Facebook so I could save it and our niece left me a comment that she's bringing it to our THANKSgiving celebration.....
if she doesn't go into labor first!

Easy Eclair Cake
Ingredients:

Cake layer:

1 box (16 oz) graham crackers
2 packages (3.4 oz each) instant vanilla pudding
3 1/2 cups whole milk
8 oz Cool Whip

Chocolate Frosting:

3 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
3 Tbsp of salted butter, melted
3 Tbsp whole milk

Instructions:

1. Whisk together the pudding and milk in a large mixing bowl until thickened, about 2 minutes. Fold in the Cool Whip.

2. Spray a 9×13 baking pan with non-stick spray. Line the bottom of the pan with a single layer of graham crackers, breaking them in smaller pieces to fit the edges of the pan.

3. Spread half of the pudding mixture evenly over the bottom layer of graham crackers.

4. Top with a second layer of graham crackers, followed by the second half of the pudding.

5. Top with the third and final layer of graham crackers.

6. Whisk together the cocoa powder, powdered sugar, melted butter and 3 Tbsp whole milk to make the chocolate frosting.

Happy Friday, Everybody!

Remember to keep on......

breathing in Grace!

  3. Your socks are adorable, Deb! LOVE them! The dessert looks amazing! Thanks for sharing the recipe. It looks like something my husband would enjoy. My one Christmas cactus has already bloomed completely...it was beautiful. My second one is currently blooming. It was one I started from a slip from my mother-in-law's when hers started to die. This year it has five bloom! Have a great weekend, my friend.

  5. Oh Deb! This is so funny! I saw your photo of the Christmas cactus, and realized mine was in the dark closet for a week! Mine wasn't flowering, and a friend told me to give it 18 hours of dark a day. Whoops...it got a lot more than that! Phew, it's still alive, but no flowers. Sigh... Yours looks amazing :)
    Blessings,
    Ceil
