{ Wednesday's Word - Understanding }

So many things happen to us along the way that just don't make any sense to us.  Sometimes, later on, we might understand why things turned out the way they did, but often we're left shaking, or scratching our heads in wonder.

As somewhat of a "control freak", I find I really need answers.  I recently told Pappy that I could wrap my head around an issue going on in my life if I could only understand the "why" of it.

But, that doesn't always happen, does it?
That's where TRUST comes into play.  It's during those difficult times of things being completely out of my control that I have to realize the promise I'm given in the wise book of Proverbs.......

Thanks, sweet Friends, for stopping by today.

HOPE God blesses each of you with a Wonderful Wednesday.

  2. I believe my friend that everything has reason to it. We may not understand it. Actually we may never understand it on this side of heaven but then when we get to heaven it may not really have mattered. I am like you....(CONTROLLING spirit) and I am really working on that...(another story) but because of that I too want the wheres, whys and hows! I'll pray for you and you pray for me! Sounds like a deal. Hugs and blessings my friend, Cindy

  3. I, too, believe that things happen for a reason and it is not for us to always understand - but to trust and have faith. Great post!

  4. As I was reading your post I found myself singing this old gospel hymn...Farther along we’ll know more about it,
    Farther along we’ll understand why; Cheer up, my brother, live in the sunshine, We’ll understand it all by and by. Have a blessed Wednesday!

  6. Yes, I think sometimes if I knew the why, I could handle it better. But I do know that the things I have gone through, even though I may not ever understand the why, I can see that things worked out in time, and He saw me through whatever it was. Love the scripture. Trust and obey, there's just no other way.

  7. Even before I came to know Jesus personally, I have always believed that everything happens for a reason, even if we never know what that reason might be. However, that doesn't seem to stop many of my whys.

  8. So happy to have found your blog! Many times the question "why" does pop in our heads and it doesn't want to let go... and you are right, many times and situations we never will completely understand the "why"... but if we can continue to trust... then the Lord will work it all out, even if it is not on our timetable. Appreciate this lovely post today, may the Lord bless you with His comforting presence in a beautiful way today! :)
