{ Friday Foto Friends #54 }

I keep going back in my mind's eye and deep down in my soul to this past weekend.  I just can't get over the peace and tranquility and nearness to God I felt in this beautiful setting surrounded by women who truly love the Lord.  We dug deep into scripture (I John) and shared our thoughts and struggles. We represented a variety of ages going through different seasons of our lives, but we shared at least one thing in common.

Our love for Jesus!

It was wonderful setting to just breathe in His grace and breathe out His praise!!!

The view from the porches at the retreat house......

Part of the trail through the woods we hiked up......

 Just two of the many Adirondack chairs placed here and there to spend quiet time.....

Another trail.....

The long and winding road.....

Sunset Saturday evening before supper.....

One of my favorite pictures.....

Jess took this picture and shared with me and I love it.
It was the railing around one of the little cabins on the property.....

Only our precious Lord and Savior could have ordained two weekends in a row of retreats for me because   He knew I needed it. The one two weeks ago was with friends from my own church brought a revelation to my heart by a dear lady who kindly took me under her wing about five years ago as a "spiritual Mother".  I call her my adopted Momma!  She brought to my attention something that I was wrestling with that I'm not sure I was even aware of.  Then, this past weekend was time spent with Jess and other Christian ladies and oh, how it blessed my heart.

I'm coming to realize just how much us girls need some time away from our normal routines.....
even, time away from our sweet husbands, children, grand-kiddos......
to refresh and regroup!

HOPE everybody has a wonderful weekend!
