{ Friday Foto Friends #170 }

To be honest, when I decided to discontinue FFF about 5 weeks ago, I was not in a good place. A couple of situations in my life had begun to take a toll on me and with my personality and tendency to "overthink" (oh, how I hope that isn't you because it can wreak havoc with one's psyche) I wasn't handling life very well and it took a toll. I tried to get all things that weren't necessary off my plate and FFF was one of those things that I felt I could scrape off. Are things any better? Well, nothing has changed as far as the situations, but I feel like I have. I've taken even more time to dig into God's word, reading a book that deals with those unexpected things that pop up in our lives and I'm trying to put my focus on Him. I still have my moments.....
okay, let's face it, I still have my days!
But His peace is a wonderful thing to have and He's blessing with me more and more of that.  Thank you so much, sweet Friends, for bearing with me and for your prayers. Friends are truly one of the most important things in this life and I have some great ones!

So, without further adieu.....
let's get on with our Friday Foto Friends link-up!

I went around the yard one day this week and took some fotos of the flowers blooming.
I obviously really like PURPLE, huh?
😊

Grape hyacinths -
I can't remember where I originally got these from, but they've taken over so if you're local and want some bulbs, please let me know

Pretty daffodils that came from my Mamaw's old home place

 Creeping phlox from my Mom's

Plum tree in bloom -
we got the cutting from my precious father-in-law many years ago

Lenten rose from......
Lowe's!
These are pretty high priced but this one was on a sale rack several years ago because a spring freeze had nipped it. I love it because it's usually blooming on my birthday in January!
Isn't it gorgeous?

Gorgeous sky going through a drive-through in Kodak one evening

Image may contain: fruit and food
And, if we're Facebook friends you've already seen my dough bowl.
My sweet girl asked me to go to Newport with her one evening this week and we headed to Goodwill first. I found this beauty and grabbed it up and hung onto it for dear life because, Y'all, it was only $1.99. I've wanted a dough bowl for YEARS but have you priced them? Phew - that's why I've wanted one for years. This one has a pretty bad crack, but I told Cindy I think that just gives it character.  I'm hoping my brother can maybe help his sister out with fixing the crack - (brother are you reading this?).
😊

It's good to be back, Y'all!

HOPE everybody has a great weekend -
if you need me, I'll be at the soccer field for 3 hours straight - because I love those grands!!!

Blessings,

A few weeks ago Pappy and I took a back road to our destination and we saw this old barn with a "barn quilt". I'm wanting to paint one for my she-shed and also for another building that belongs to Pappy. He stopped in the middle of the road and let me get this pic.

There are two of these colorful rugs on our front porch and this butterfly must have thought it was a field of flowers.

That's it for today.

HOPE your weekend is great!

Some weeks it's a feast of fotos and other weeks a famine. This week is slim-picking! These are actually fotos I took on our anniversary jaunt back in April.

This poor barn looks like it's seen a better day, but I love the fading red on the boards.

And, this one reminds me of this Bible verse.....

Psalm 50:10
For all the animals of the forest are mine, and I own the cattle on a thousand hills.

Did Y'all notice what I did about this foto.....
that the cattle don't even notice that they're not all the same color.

HOPE everybody has a great weekend!

{ Friday Foto Friends #102 }

You know how some weeks I just don't have too many fotos to share? Well, it's usually feast or famine around here on Friday's and today it's feast time. I have lots of  fotos to share because we FINALLY took that little jaunt to Carver's Apple Orchard. It was a gorgeous day and the place was jam packed with people, but I managed to still get some pics.

These first ones were on our way home after getting our flu shot early one morning this week.

These were taken on the way and at Carver's.....

And this one.....
in our own front yard!
There's no place like home.

Thanks for stopping by.
HOPE everybody has a wonderful weekend!

{ Friday Foto Friends #51 }

We are one week away from our one-year anniversary of Friday Foto Friends!!!
That's just so hard to believe.
Yes, we're gonna celebrate and there's gonna be a give-a-way!  PLEASE invite your friends to the party and come ready to link-up your favorite pictures and have lots of fun!

But, till then, here are my photos for this week. We recently took a little 'short run for fun' and I took TONS of pics, so pour yourself a cup of coffee and enjoy the scenery around East Tennessee.

Are you still with me?
I just couldn't quit taking pics.
It seemed with each twist in the road came another beautiful view.
We really do live in a beautiful part of the United States!

HOPE everybody has a Fantastic Friday and a great weekend!
