I shared this verse of scripture with a family member who is going thru a really nasty divorce. I sent it in a text early one morning and received a call that afternoon that although they had recited it all day long.....things still didn't go their way.....and they blamed me. At first, I was hurt, but then it dawned on me that although I'm not sure they fully realized it.....they were actually mad at God.....not me. And, they must not have paid a lot of attention to the words.....
"be patient in tribulation".
People suffer many things in this life.
Often the things we/I have to go thru are self inflicted,
although we/I don't want to own up to that.
We/I try to justify our/my actions and place the blame on somebody else,
when the one who stares back at us/me in the mirror is actually the one who brought all the trouble and hardship by wrong decisions.
God is good.
He forgives.
He understands.
He loves.
He is....GOD!!!
Which is why.....
although some days are difficult.....
I try my best to keep on......
