Did you know that Jesus prays for us??? I knew that he interceded for us....in other words He's the go-between...between us and God....which is why when we pray, we say "In Jesus name"....but....I had never really thought about the fact that Jesus prays for me. Oh, I know the words from the cross, when He asked God to "forgive them for they know now what they do"....but I've never thought about that as praying. Since Pastor Dallas is out because of his surgery, the Director of Missions for Sevier County brought the message yesterday morning and again last night at church. He is very interesting to listen to. He taught in his message last night that Jesus prays for us....then....one of my daily devotionals that I received today talked about the very same thing...just used a different scripture reference. Where have I been all my life??? Remember when I wrote about a "new wrinkle on my horn"??? Well, this is one of those light-bulb moments for me!!!
Here is what I love, love, love about this....if Jesus is praying for me....if He cares enough about me to pray for me....then what in the world do I have to worry about??!!??!! It's in Jesus' hands...He's taking care of it. WOW!! Talk about a heavy load being lifted off my shoulders!!! I keep finding out more and more about our precious Savior...see what going to Sunday School and worship service will do for 'ya?!?!? I just can't get over the fact that Jesus cares enough about little old me (emphasis on "old" not "little")....to take me to God in prayer!!!
That makes me so, so happy...and fills me with joy!!!
