Prayerful Thursday!

This time next week will be Christmas Day. Are you finished with all your shopping and wrapping and meal planning.....me, too!!! Oh, that is so totally not true. But, I refuse to get stressed....okay, too late for that!!! This has been a very stressful week for me already, and I've realized I have to slow down and just enjoy each day and not get caught up in everything I have yet to get done!!! I'm going to write another little post to give you an update!!!
If you listen to my PlayList, there's a song on there right now by Ricky Skaggs called "Somebody's Prayin' ". I really like that song.....go take a listen.....I'm not going anywhere for a bit!!!
So....don't you like it, too???
It's not so much a Christmas song....
I just liked the words, so I added it to the Christmas song list!!!

I know that so many of those we've had on our prayer request lists for the last few months have felt that way....they have felt the prayers being lifted up for them in whatever their situation is. Just because I don't list them each week, don't forget to go back occasionally and re-read and say another little prayer for them....I know they will greatly appreciate it!!!

I've been under the weather this week, so I don't have prayer requests from church....tonight was the first performance of our adult program....and me and Pap are missing it. He feels he might be coming down with whatever it was I have....so we stayed in. I feel so guilty, but I would much rather be at church feeling great than here with this stomach crud!!!
But.....here are some requests I've received this week:

1. Please continue to pray for Mr. Lloyd to heal. Pap talked to him on Sunday and he is still very sore. I look forward to him being back at church....him and Ms. Bonnie, too!!!
2. Eli Joshua Bean - remember this little guy had surgery to correct a problem with his esophagus. He is going to have more surgery. You can check out how precious he is on his Caring Bridge page. Please pray for him, for his Mommy and Daddy, and for the doctors.

3. My friend, Mis, told me that her son-in-law's Dad had an emergency appendectomy and is awaiting some other tests. Please keep him in your prayers. His name is Dave!!! Also pray for her son-in-law and daughter as they are facing problems with their jobs.
4. Please continue to pray for Gary and Dawn as he tries to find employment. Seems like problems always seem so much bigger during the holidays, don't they?

5. My neighbor, April - her father-in-law, Paul Mayfield, just found out he has cancer. Please keep this special family in your prayers. April is a cousin to my friend, Tonya.

Okay...I think that's it. Say a little prayer for me. My tummy is in terrible shape. Usually I can get over something quickly, but this just isn't going away too fast. Could it be that I'm getting older, that it takes longer? Naaahhh!!!!

Anyway...
hope each of you have a Terrific Thursday....
stay in touch with the Lord today!!!

In His Love...and with mine!!!

  1. I sure hope you are feeling better in a few days!!
at least it's this week, and not next week :-)
like you said, God might have been trying to tell you something and this is the only way He knew He could get you to rest. but I'm sure He will find it in His heart to have you feeling "spunky" next week!!
try to take it easy a couple more days...........
