Only Believe the Best

The following is an excerpt from an article about forgiveness that I received in an e-mail from (In) Courage.

Only Believe the Best
When you believe that everyone is always just doing their best, that we never war against flesh and blood but against the principalities, that in light of their own limitations, they truly are doing their best... this changes everything. Love bears all things, hopes all things, believes all things and whatever is good and pure and lovely, think on these things.

I try to give the benefit of the doubt and take into account that maybe something isn't going well in some body's own life and that's why they say/do/act a certain way that maybe offends others.  It's so hard for me to accept that somebody would deliberately want to hurt somebody else.  I'm not so naive that I don't believe there are folks who do just that....but it just saddens my heart and makes me wonder why they would be so bitter!!!

Maybe if we all just took the time to consider where the other person's head is at....and especially where their heart is....then, we would do like the article said...and only believe the best about that person!!

Remember…..hurting people hurt others!!!

Matthew 5:44-45a (NLT) - But I say, love your enemies!  Pray for those who persecute you! In that way, you will be acting as true children of your Father in heaven.

Thursday Blessings to each of you!!!

In His Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!

  1. This message, I needed to hear. As I look back over emails I received this week, those that hurt me..were hurting.

I had to put it all at the foot of the cross.

    Have a blessed day!
