Fantastic Friday - Edition #26

Photobucket

My week has been full!!!

SONday, we traveled to a church about an hour away and watched as Pappy and the Special Friends from our church performed a skit.  It was so heart-warming....especially, the part that was done while "I Can Only Imagine" played in the background.  Some of you know that's one of my favorite songs.....a friend of ours sang it at my 50th birthday celebration a few years ago....and it's the ringtone on my phone!

I went with my Mom to two different appointments, one for blood work and the other to see her doctor.  She's improving, but still having some issues....continued prayers would be much appreciated for her!!!  Speaking of prayer....I get text messages occasionally from a precious friend of mine and she's having some health problems, too.  I won't go into detail, but if you would add Ms. Norma to your prayer list.  I know she would really appreciate knowing all you Prayer Warriors are lifting her up in prayer!!!
Ms. Norma, if you're reading this.....this is just for you.....

We stayed with our GRANDsons one afternoon and got to see the oldest one ride the dirt bike.  I just don't think he's old enough to be riding a dirt bike....after all he's ONLY six!!! ;-)   The younger one has no interest in the bike....instead he put on his cleats and showed us how fast he can run....round and round the house!!!  About wore me out watching them both!!!  Then, they came and spent the evening with us and the boys and Pappy played race cars. Pappy even made green and checkered flags to use.  Just listening to them pretend was so precious....especially, when Sawyer would whisper to me that his car was the fastest, but we had to keep it a secret!!!

On Wednesday morning, we went to Bible study at our church.  We're currently doing a study of Proverbs....very interesting.  After the study, we stay for a lunch that's provided by all who attend.  Each week, we sign up to bring something to go along with the "theme"  for the week!!!  This week, I took my specialty....deviled eggs!!!

Yesterday, we found out that several things had been stolen from my Mamaw's smokehouse.  The items were all very heavy metal, so we are pretty sure they were stolen to be taken to recycling centers for money.  I have to say right here that I got so angry.  I think that was as mad as I've been in many, many years.  I'm not sure that it was just the invasion of privacy, but it was a culmination of things that have happened in the last few years and that was the straw that broke the camel's back.  It was like that spirit of fear just totally left me and I got out some things that I had been holding in for way too long.  Anyway.....we are confident of who did it, although we have no proof.  But, being the sleuth that I am....I'm already hot on their trail.  It's kinda hard to hide things from me!!!
Maybe that could be a job for me on the side....
....Deb's Detective Agency!!!
;-)

Last....but certainly not least....my long-time friend, Ms. Darlene sent me a private message on Facebook one night this week and asked about the Journey devotional.  Remember, I told y'all that I wasn't going to renew it, but it's my favorite devotional of all time?  Well.....my precious friend is going to be sending me the devotionals.  Is that not just amazing?
Ain't God good?
Oh, yes He is!!!

So how 'bout you all....did you have an exciting week?!?!?
I would love to hear about it.....or anything else you want to share by linking up below....and feel free to invite your friends!!!

Hope y'all have a great weekend!!!

In HIS Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!

Blessings,
Deb
