Remembering my Daddy.....

When I was young, we had a console stereo player and my Daddy loved playing gospel albums. The Blackwood Brothers Quartet was one of them and this song was his favorite.  I always think of my precious Daddy when I hear it.

  1. Daddy's are so wonderful. I'll never forget how shocked I was when my Daddy told me how much he liked Blueberry Hill by Fats Domino. That just didn't seem to fit him at all. Have a Blessed SonDay!

    1. My Daddy had some really funny ways about him, too. I wish our grand's could have known him, and vice versa. He would have adored all of them!!! HOPE you're having a blessed day, too!!!

  2. Hi Deb! (Winning header...love that flower!) Happy Father's Day to our father's, both living and deceased. Your photo of your Dad is so clear! And such a lovely smile...thank you for sharing it with us. My Dad is 90 years old, and still with us. We'll be having dinner with him tonight. He tells stories of going downtown to the hotels and halls to hear music and dance. It was Big Bands back then.
Happy Fathers Day especially to Pappy!

  5. A wonderful tribute, Debbie! I remember hearing the Blackwood Brothers soon after I was saved. I grew up Episcopalian and didn't even know there was such a thing as a gospel quartet! My adopted father, the one I called Daddy and who raised me used to love Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis films and would laugh so loud! It would be embarrassing in a movie theater but how I'd love to hear that laugh again.
