{ Friday Foto Friends #31 }

I came across this little plaque at Family Dollar and you know why it caught my attention, dontcha?!?!

If you've hung around me much at all,
you know  the word HOPE.

 You probably know how much I adore cardinals, too, right?
Well, I snatched this little cutie up for $1.....
yes, ONE DOLLAR!

I knew it needed a little makeover so it would be more at home at our house, so I dug through my stash of acrylic paints and went to work. The hardest part was painting the wing on the bird  because it was actually a picture of a bird's wing under a piece of plastic.

Here's what it looks like after a little sprucing up.....

It's so sweet now, at least to me!
And, that wing that was difficult to paint over.....
well, I like how it looks all feathery.
Nothing a little paint and Sharpie marker can't make look better!

Thanks so much for your prayers and concern and comments and e-mails this week.
Y'all are AWESOME-sauce!

I'd LOVE it if you'd join in our linky today.

HOPE everybody has a wonderful weekend!
