Yesterday was such a beautiful day in our neck of the woods.  The temperature climbed up into the upper 50's and there was plenty of SUNSHINE!  Oh, how the sun shining affects my mood.  But, there's rain in the forecast for today and I even heard the possibility of SNOW on SONday. 
Oh, well.....
it's that time of year!

For my Friday Fotos, here's a collage of a few things I've made the last couple of months.

Sharing scripture.....

If you visit me here very often, you know that one of favorite things to do is to share Bible verses.  When someone I know personally is going through something, I especially love to share devotionals and scriptures that they can HOPEfully take to heart and apply to their situation.  I have a family member who is having a very difficult time on their job and wanted to do something just for them.  I researched Bible verses that went along with what they're struggling with.   My favorite place to visit for that specific reason is Open Bible.  All you have to do is type in your topic and you'll  get a list of relevant Bible verses, or you can choose from a multitude of topics provided.  As I found the verses that I needed, I went to Bible Gateway to find it in the translation I use most of the time (NLT).  I simply copied and pasted each verse into a Word Document, printed and cut them out, used an Elmer's Glue Stick and pasted each one onto an index card, adding a few blank ones at the back in case my friend wants to add their own verses, and tied them together with a piece of twine, as my cards already had the holes punched.  I'm sure there are lots of different ways you could "pretty" these up, but I just wanted mine to remain simple.

An easy way of letting somebody know how much you love and care about them.

Treasures!!!

My Mamaw passed away in May of 2011, the day before Mother's Day.  Not all of her things have been divided yet, but Mom did give me these two treasures.  The first one was going to be thrown away until I asked if I could have it.  It was my Papaw's tool box and is very old.  It still had a couple of his tools in it, too.  I love the old chippy green color.  The second pic is more accurate in color.

 Mom gave me this little bowl.  It's a Fire King tulip bowl.  I looked it up on E-bay and it's known as a grease bowl.  I don't think I'll be using it for that, though!!!

I'll try to post more once the GRANDkids get to go thru and choose some treasures.

I do have my eye on a couple of pretty Pyrex bowls....one is pink and the other green!!!  They interest me because Mom told me that my Daddy gave them to Mamaw....which makes them even more special!!!  

It's so sad knowing my Mamaw is no longer with us 'cause she was an amazing woman.

But, I'm so grateful to bring a few of her things into our home!!!

One day last week I went to the mailbox and there was a little package with my name on it.  As soon as I saw the return address, I knew it was from my sweet blogging friend, Ms. Mary at Visits with Mary.  Lookie what I found inside.....

.....so the little owlie is gonna go in there!

I have met some of the most amazing people while blogging.  

Ms. Mary @ Visits with Mary is definitely one of the top ones!!!

She mailed this to me this week.  It's called a scripture bag and it was made by her daughter, Ms. Tammy.  When I opened up the box, this side was what I saw....

....but when I turned it over.....

.....I found this on the other side!!
Is this not amazing?
And, is it not so me?!?!?

I was just in shock....that somebody who really doesn't even know me, just thru our blogs and Facebook....would do this for me!
