{ Friday Foto Friends #13 }

It's been many years since I've worked outside the home, but I still always look forward to Friday and Pappy being home for 2 days!

And, since it's Friday, it means it's time to share our fotos with our friends!

Here are a few pics I wanted to share......

A beautiful male cardinal at the feeder.

I had a birthday last week, and our two older grand boys made cards for me......

Sawyer drew Pappy and me as owls and he's the little owlie in the tree. (notice Nannie has purple wings)

"Best Nanny Ever"......
those words just melted my heart!
And, I got a chuckle out of the "61 years of good living".....
LOL!

A headband / ear warmer I made for a friend in colors she chose.

Would love for you to link up your photos.
It can even be an older post.

HOPE everybody has a fantastic Friday and a great weekend!

Friday Foto.....

Before I share my photo collage for today,
let me just say that y'all ROCKED my WORLD yesterday with all your  comments about the SIGNS that God gives you to show HIS LOVE just for you! The more I read, the bigger the smile and I even got the "Holy Spirit chills" several times!  Things like that is totally why I blog.....
to share HIM with others and to be encouraged and lifted up by those who share HIM with me!

About all I can say is WOW.....
and THANKS to ALL of YOU.....
and to HIM for allowing each of us the opportunity to express the joy and satisfaction of serving a RISEN SAVIOR!!!

Now.....
onto one of the greatest blessings that Pappy and I have ever received.  I had a date this week with our FIRSTborn GRANDson.  He had to wait his turn because he got into a bit of trouble and waiting was his punishment.  Somehow, Nannie felt like she was the one being punished.  Do y'all feel that way when your GRAND's get reprimanded?  I totally think it's a GRANDparent thing, don't you?  We know it's necessary, but it still hurts.  Kinda reminds me of how God punishes me when I do wrong!  I need it, but man does it ever HURT!!!

This sweet boy didn't ask for much.  He wanted to go to Bass Pro Shop, Smoky Mountain Knife Works, and the Russell Stover candy outlet (he's a boy after Nannie's own heart with the stop for chocolate).  Pappy and Nannie got him the knife and he was one happy young man.  He's growing up way too fast, but he still looks like that precious baby boy in the picture with the hat.  I didn't get a picture of where we ate, but he chose Buddy's Barbecue and for dessert a hot fudge cake.  He even decided where we would sit, which suited Nannie just fine because it was a little booth on the side where we wouldn't be seen.  You see, he's quite the introvert.....
again, just like his Nannie.....
and his precious Momma!!!
(something that most people don't see about me.....
another post for another day)

What a blessing to be able to stay home and get to spend as much time as I do with our GRANDchildren.  I try my best not to take that for granted.  God is so very good.....
ALL the time!
(even those times when it's hard to see that)

HOPE everybody has an awesomely blessed weekend!!

Have fun.....
stay safe.....
enjoy life!!!

No, me.....

Maybe it's because I'm getting old(er) and seriously try to be more in tune with things going on around me (most of the time, at least, because I am getting old(er)!  There are many lessons we can learn from our everyday life, things that happen to us that give us reason to "ponder".  Some of those lessons come from our grands.

Our youngest grandson says, "No, me" quite often.
It usually has to do with him wanting what somebody else has.
It reminds me so much of how selfish adults can be, too.

"No, me".....
I want the recognition and the pat on the back.

"No, me".....
I "deserve"        fill in the blank     .

"No, me".....
I "don't" deserve      fill in the blank     .

But, in his defense.....
is this a face anybody could say "no" to?

I didn't think so!

HOPE everybody has a great day!

Whistles and Roses.....

I jumped into the truck to take a little "happy" to our daughter.....
and jumped back out just as quickly to take a fast pic of what I had for her!!!

Remember the tin/penny whistle cases I made for our grandboys?
Well, their Momma had to have one, too!

The boys picked out camouflage.....
but Momma wanted something more girly!!

I lay it in my "Ladies of Faith" rose bush to take the pics.....

I've gotten a lot of experience doing blanket stitches making these cases.
And, realized my need for perfection!
Not that the stitches are perfect.....
which is what kinda drives me bonkers!!!

I lined it with some yellow fabric I had on hand.

And, I had to get a pic of my gorgeous roses.
I miss my "Ladies of Faith" Sunday school class so much!!!
All those ladies still hold a very special place in my heart.....
and they always will!!!

HOPE y'all are having a wonderful weekend!!!

Breathing in Grace,

Deb

p.s.....my "Work in Progress" is still just that.....
in progress!!!  It requires sewing the lining and doing a closure,
which are both time-consuming.  HOPEfully, I'll get it finished up and can share it soon!

Friday Fotos.....

My week in pictures.....

I couldn't have done this if I tried.....
and it happened twice to our middle grandboy!!
He loves to play b-ball!!!

This is a cell phone pic,
but I still kinda love it!!
A mockingbird has built her nest in a bush next to our back deck!!!

Pappy dug out the wagon that we used when the two oldest grandboys were small!!
Miss RK and Baby Silas loved it.....
can you tell he was sooooo sleepy?!?

Sawyer was dribbling the basketball in this pic....
hence the "movement"!!!
Like I said....
he loves b-ball!!!

This precious boy was sick last week.
You know he had to be to have gone to sleep during the day!!!
He's our oldest and in case I've never mentioned it....
his name is Samuel (Sam),
based on I Samuel 1:27.....

For this child I prayed;
and the Lord hath given me my petition which I asked of him.

Hope y'all have a Fantastic Friday.....
and an awesome weekend!!!

Friday Foto.....

Our oldest grandboys to take pictures.
I think that's something they get from their Momma....
and their Nannie!!!
They like to get my phone,
or my camera, and just snap pics of.....
well, whatever.
I've found pics of the commode on my camera before.
Boys....
you've gotta love 'em, right?!?
;-)

At the soccer field a few weeks ago,
while Saw was taking his turn to sit out.....
this is one of the pics he took of his Nannie!!!

Yep....
that's me....
doing a kissy face toward one of our little loves.....
and, just keeping it real....
the way I am most of the time....
wearing my visor.....
and my hair one hot mess!!!
(but notice I still took the time to put on some lipstick....LOL)

(please ignore all wrinkles and age spots)

And, here's one I took of our sweet baby Silas wearing Pappy's cap.
I've gotta find the one of Jess when she was a baby wearing her Daddy's cap.
Oh, how this baby boy is loved....
he's brought so much joy into our family.
Our GOD is so awesome to bless the parents of an only child with FOUR grand's....
well, I think actually four and counting!!!
;-)

Hope y'all have a fantastic Friday and an awesome weekend.....
and just keep on.....
