{ Just Say Thanks }

Y'all, I'm so proud of our church and how they love on and teach Jesus to the kiddos.  These littles are only 2, 3 and 4 years old and they're already memorizing Bible verses.  Their teacher, Ms. Stephanie (my sweet friend) is teaching them a new verse each week on Wednesday night with each verse beginning with a letter of the alphabet. Yesterday during the morning service they sang a THANKSgiving song then recited their verses from A-M, doing the motions that goes along with the verse. "Don't be a turkey" 😊 and watch these short videos. I believe it'll do your heart good to see how Jesus is being poured into these precious little souls.

{ Monday, Monday }

Last week was a whirlwind of activity and this week is going to be full, too.  Whoever said that retirement was when you can slow down was terribly wrong.  It seems I have more on my plate now than ever and know that if I were still working a full-time job I couldn't get it all done.....

not that I do now!

Anyway....

just wanted to share a few pics of things that caught my eye, made me laugh, or remind me of one of the most important things in my life.....

 Last Monday was my Momma's birthday and we celebrated with a girl's day out.

Oh, my, but this is so me!

I've put back on several pounds from the weight I lost a couple of years ago.

Stress eating and the fact that every tooth in my head is a sweet tooth is getting me into trouble.

It's Monday again....

time to start afresh.....

so glad for God's mercies on me!!

Even on the coldest of  days, give me some SONshine and I'm a happy girl!

that pretty girl on the right is one of my greatest blessings!  This was taken at our Ladies Night Out yesterday at church.

And, I've spent way too much time watching April trying to birth her baby.  I finally watched a giraffe live birth on YouTube so I could get on with my life....

Taking off the mask!!

Hypocrite:

Greek word meaning 

actor, stage player.

Ancient Greek tragedies were originally written for just one actor. They were a solo performance. But during the time of Sophocles, a second actor was enlisted, called the hypocrite. His job was to offer the opposite perspective. His presence created tension, antagonism, and drama.

We are not much different than the ancient Greeks. We like to present a face to the world that is respectable. It looks nice, responsible, even spiritual.

But we have another face, a second actor: who we are when no one else is looking. Is it possible that some of the stress and tension in your life is because you have become a hypocrite – one thing on the outside, but something different on the inside?

A mask may feel okay for an hour. But whenever we trade being real for being accepted, we venture into territory that belongs to the enemy of God. Perhaps it’s time you prayed, “Lord, make me whole – the same person in private as in public.”

During the coming Life Action revival summit, you can get honest with yourself. 

Be encouraged. God has a special heart for those who are ready to get real. It’s time to breathe free again… without the mask.
