It's good to be back hosting our Friday Foto Friends Link-Up! Again, thank you for letting me take a little break. I mentioned yesterday that I'll be having a giveaway because of a blog anniversary, but I'm gonna wait and share that on Monday!

I took these fotos of the baby robins on Saturday before Mother's Day. Late in the evening on Mother's Day, I told Pappy that I needed to go check on "my" babies and they were gone! There was barely enough room to hold the four little birdies!  

And, here's Momma (or Daddy, I'm not sure) making sure I don't do any harm to their kiddos.....

It's just amazing that a bird can create this.....

Not the clearest foto but here's one of the hawk before her babies flew away.....

The wisteria blossoms didn't last very long before the heat got to the blooms.....

I'm pretty sure this is the first time we've had double red hot pokers and there were two like this.

Doesn't it look like a "red hot" heart?

{ Friday Foto Friends #129 }

It's been an absolutely beautiful week!  We've had lots and lots of sunshine, something that I desperately need in my life! (and I know I'm not alone)  I've worked outside a bunch and got some pics from around the house.  If we're friends on Facebook and Instagram, then you've already seen some of these!

I actually found a 4-leaf clover.....
but not before I'd sprayed weed killer on it. (insert sad face). I still pulled it and took a pic!

My absolutely gorgeous Iris that came from my Mamaw's house. It's only taken 3 years for it to bloom, but it was so worth the wait!

A mockingbird sitting in the bush right outside the window.  Did Y'all know that the mockingbird is the state bird for Tennessee?

I loved the bit of blue shining through.....

Freshly hatched baby robins.....

Springtime is probably my favorite time of year when everything starts coming back to life after the long, cold, gray winter. There's a life analogy in that statement somewhere!

{ Friday Foto Friends #127 }

First of all, I can't believe I haven't posted anything at all since last Friday. I meant to, honestly, I did. I'm not sure where the time gets to these days. It can't have anything to do with my age.....

can it?!?!?

And, secondly.....
what in the world is going on with the weather? I know, I know, I said I wouldn't talk about it anymore, but seriously?!?!?  I know we're not in charge and we have absolutely no control over it and I have no doubt that God knows what He's doing, but this is April and we've seen SNOW this week. That just doesn't happen in this neck of the woods, Y'all!  But HOPEfully after the freezing temps from last night there's gonna be a warming trend. 

In spite of the cold weather, just take a look at this gorgeous dogwood in my Momma's yard that I snapped a pic of yesterday afternoon.....

And did you notice those blue skies?

Just heavenly!

Oh, April how do I love thee? 

Let me count the ways! 

I know I'm almost a week late recognizing one of my most favorite months of the year, but I just couldn't let another day go by without giving it the love it deserves! 

Just a few reasons why I love this month.....

*Easter - the most blessed day of celebration for the Christian

*The month my precious Daddy was born, although it was on Friday the 13th and I jokingly told him I was his bad luck - I sure hope he knew what an incredible blessing he was in my life 

*The month I became a wife and we'll celebrate our 41st anniversary in just a few weeks.

Yes, I adore April.  It's such a welcome relief after the long, cold, gray days of winter. With it comes spring rains and green grass and budding plants, dogwood blossoms and wisteria blooms and purple clematis on a rusty trellis and creeping phlox and azaleas bursting with beautiful colors. 

April to me brings with it another of my favorite things.....

HOPE!

I'm turning into my Mom talking about the weather all the time, but, Y'all, this is so true for East Tennessee weather this week.....

We've had rain and snow and cold and wind and clouds and sunshine and warmer temps all in just a matter of days!  The poor flowers are so confused.  Here are a few that are blooming in our yard right now.....

Tomorrow it's supposed to be near 70 with the "S" word in the forecast for next week!
