{ Friday Foto Friends #141 }

Image result for quote about photography

Well, Y'all, guess what?
I've posted something on the blog for this makes 6 straight days!
Say what?!?
It's been a very long time since that happened.

Here are my fotos for today.....

Our kiddos went camping last weekend and Pappy and I went to their house for a couple of days and fed their animals. Here's a foto of one of the flowers growing in the field. Are these called Batchelor Buttons?

Our oldest grandson planted pumpkins - look at this ginormous bloom!

Ducks.....

Pappy filling up one of the water buckets.....

Chickens and ducks and goats, oh my.....

Pappy stopped in the middle of the road on the way home and let me take this pic.
I love this little red building. Oh, the potential I see in fixing it up and turning it into a she-shed.....
yes, I'm obsessed, Y'all!

We let each of our grand-kiddos spend the night with us to celebrate their birthdays (not on the actual day), and this afternoon/night/tomorrow is our oldest grandson's turn.  What a young man he's turning in to, but I'm so happy that he still wants to spend time with us!
Blessed?
YES!!!

HOPE everybody has a great weekend.

{ Friday Foto Friends #119 }

Some weeks I have very few fotos and others it seems I have way too many to share in one post. This has been a week of plenty because our temps here in East Tennessee have been ahhh-mazing, even breaking records set in previous years and I've gotten outdoors more.  I still managed to get some of my decluttering/purging done, but oh, how difficult it is to stay indoors on such gorgeous days smack dab in the middle of winter!

Here are the ones I narrowed it down to share with Y'all, but it's still a bunch!

The daughter standing on her Momma's back!

 My beautiful Lenten rose blooming.

My Momma and me on her 84th birthday this past Tuesday!  Yes, she's itty-bitty and no she does not color her hair. Isn't that amazing?!?!?

Found my very first rock this week!

I took a walk over to the woods at Mom's and got a few fotos.....
lichen growing on a tree limb.

As much as I roamed those woods as a kid I'm not sure I ever saw this growth on an oak leaf. Google taught me that it's actually called a gall and there's a larva inside that fuzzy orange ball that matures into a gall wasp. You can read about it here.

Mushrooms growing on a dead pine tree in Mom's backyard.

This silly squirrel.
He/she obviously loves sunflower seeds.
I told my brother that he even posed for me!

That's it.....
I'll share the rest next Friday and hopefully even more!

HOPE everybody has a great weekend!

Pappy and I took a little weekend trip to Asheville, NC to celebrate my birthday last weekend.  I didn't take many fotos but wanted to share these two with Y'all.  After the snow we had last week, I thought for sure there'd be more snow than what we saw.  Not much snow, but lots of ice hanging on the rocks along the Interstate.

This was the sky leaving our kiddos house the evening of my birthday.....

The sun was trying it's best to shine one cold, gray day last week. (taken out our back door)

This church always has something neat posted on its sign.
I'm calling this one "food for thought"!

We'll be heading to our kiddos house in the morning to watch Super Bowl #3. This is the third year our boys have had their very own Super Bowl playing against one another and we're invited to watch and then have a cookout.

Life is good, Y'all!

HOPE your weekend is full of stuff that makes you happy!

{ Friday Foto Friends #103 }

We've had a full week, Y'all.
Our kiddos went camping for a few days, so guess who gets to feed the animals?
Yep....
Pappy and Nannie!
We visited them at the campground one day which was so much fun.....
except it was a bit chilly and overcast that particular day and Nannie about froze sitting outside!

The first two pics were taken at our kid's house.
I actually had the energy to hike up and back down their steep driveway a couple of days.

This one I took at the end of my brother's driveway because I love to see the sun shining through the autumn leaves this time of year.....

The next ones are at Panther Creek State Park where the kids were camping.....

The maple tree in our back yard decided to finally show off.....

And my favorite of all because sometimes you just get blessed with a good foto.....

Have y'all had a good week, too?
Are you ready for the weekend so you can maybe get a bit of rest?
How's the weather in your neck of the woods?
Are you finally getting some autumn color, or do you have snow?

No matter the weather I HOPE you have a great weekend!

First of all, I want to apologize for not visiting much this week, but I've been busy trying to get some much needed painting done. Maybe taking a break might be something I need to do more often, although it wasn't intentional. Marking things off a to-do list feels so good!!!

Here are my fotos for today.....

We don't have a good view of sunrises and sunsets at our house, but I managed to catch this one evening.....

The girls at our daughter's house....

Giant cannas and a fading knock-out rose at our daughter's house.....

Dusty miller just fascinates me.....
how can leaves be white?

I just loved the look of coming out of the shadows into the light on this back road we took to our daughter's house.....

This is my accidental shadow pic.  I have no idea what/how/why, it just mysteriously showed up in the gallery on my phone and for some reason I like it!

And, last but absolutely not least, I want to wish our sweet girl a very happy birthday. She's truly one of my greatest blessings!

HOPE everybody has a wonderful weekend!
