I've met so many amazing ladies through this blog. People often come and go as bloggers, just like people do in our "real" everyday lives, but every now and then we meet up with people who we feel like we could call on in the middle of the night if we needed something.  That would be hard to do with us, though, because so many of us live states, or worlds apart from one another. You all are so very special to my heart and I love how you stand in the gap for me in prayer when you can tell I need it. We share our lives and frustrations and joys and all sorts of things with one another.  I truly feel that God ordains all kinds of friendships, including those in the world of blogging.

{ Friday Foto Friends #52 - One Year Linky Anniversary }

Well, we made it!

Today we celebrate a year of having this little link-up every Friday.  I'm so happy about our ability to stick-to-it so we would keep this up for an entire year.  I'm hoping this will continue to grow and we'll meet up with more and more new visitors. If you get a chance, share it with your friends on Facebook.  

I actually started posting Friday Fotos more than a year ago.  I did that for several months before I added the link-up.  Out of curiosity I went back and found my very first photo that I shared on our first linky and here it is......

I never tire of the gorgeous colors of that maple tree in our back yard and the fluorescent  colors it turns to in the fall.  

This first pic for this week was taken at Panther Creek State Park.  Our kiddos camped there last weekend and we visited them for a while on Saturday.  It's an absolutely gorgeous campground on Cherokee Lake.  This is a view from the top overlook.....

I picked up this book last weekend with just that idea in mind!

I bought one for my best friend and went thru and wrote things on a lot of the pages just for her!!!

This one is about FAITH!!

And, there's a little sign to go along with the book that has a verse of scripture that always reminds me of my friend, Ms. Norma!!!

I sure hope so!!

The last couple of weeks in our neck of the woods have been a bit of a roller coaster!   There are lots of things going on with CHRISTmas coming up and a new job for Pappy and getting ready for Miss Ruby Kate's arrival, and, and, and....it's enough to make an old lady's head spin, and that's pretty much what mine's been doing!!!  I've been experiencing some bouts of high BP and headaches, so if you want to send up an extra prayer for me, I would be sooooo grateful!!!

Since it's getting close to CHRISTmas and I haven't had a give-a-way in quite some time, I'm feeling like that's just what needs to happen!!!

Now, I know that y'all don't like owlies as much as I do....but, they've become so very popular and if you should win and don't really want it for yourself, then I'm sure you know of an owl lover....besides me!!!

Happy Birthday....and a give-a-way!!!

First of all, I want to wish a very Happy Birthday to my precious Pappy.  Today is his birthday....and it's also officially his last day of work, but since he gets his birthday off....with pay (Thank you, Lord)....we'll be spending the day together....along with CHRISTmas "vacation"!!!  I'm so thankful that he was able to work for almost 10 months after he found out the plant is moving.  Our GOD is awesome....and I know He has big plans in store for us!!!

Secondly....because it's December....and CHRISTmas is fast approaching....I have a little "thank you" gift for one of my followers.  Several years ago, my sweet sis-in-law got me a little book for CHRISTmas titled, "The Twelve Blessings of CHRISTmas".   It's chock full of gift ideas and poems and decorations and recipes.  A while back, I came across one at a new store that's opened up in our neck of the woods and knew immediately that I wanted to offer it to one of you!!!

Here are a few glimpses.....

It's such a sweet book and even our GRANDsons love for me to read it to them....
for some odd reason, they even like the recipes!!!

Fantastic Friday - Edition #20

I'm only 2 weeks and 2 days late....

....but better late than never, right?

I wondered what I would say each day, but He has never failed to put something on my heart to write about.....even prompting me to take a break every once in a while!!!  I've met so many amazing Christian sisters since I began this journey and I just want all of you to know how much you are loved and appreciated.

Happy Kentucky Derby Day....and a Give-A-Way

 First of all....Happy Kentucky Derby Day!!!
I love the Kentucky Derby....and would you believe that Pappy even offered to take me this year?!?!
One of these years....I want to go and watch Calvin Borel ride to victory.  Even though I'm not a betting girl....I would love to just go and see all those fancy hats and see Mr. Calvin ride that victory lap....I have quite a lot of confidence in him, don't I?!?

Anyway....you know how sometimes you visit a blog....and you'll find a link to another blog....to another blog....to yet another blog....well, that's kinda how I found Ms. Shelli @ Alamode!  While visiting her, I  saw a pillow with one of my favorite words "Tetelesti" perched on a church pew in her home....and, I just knew that I had found a new favorite blog!!!  I sent Shelli a note asking about the pillow....she contacted the store owner....and he graciously offered to give a pillow as a give-a-way on Ms. Shelli's blog.  Now....I probably have about as much a chance of winning this pillow as I would winning the Kentucky Derby....but I told Ms. Shelli that if it's God's will....then, I will!!!
